Quixel MegaScans

Overview

4D Publish has support for Quixel MegaScans. By putting all your downloaded MegaScans into a folder you can use 4D Publish to easily browse and load in your MegaScan objects into C4D.


Getting Started

  1. Set the file path to your megascans in Preferences->4D Publish
  2. Open up the Content View and switch to the Mega Scans tab.
  3. Double click on a scan to load it into C4D.
  4. If any materials are black in the 3D Viewport then press Reload All Textures.

Set Folder In Preferences

Set the folder location where you have unzipped all your Quixel MegaScan objects. This folder will be used by the Content View to scan for all your mega scan objects and textures.

Reload All Textures

In some cases the OpenGL textures do not refresh in the 3D Viewport. If you find that some materials look black after loading in a MegaScan then pressing this button will fix the issue. This will run the regular C4D Reload All Textures command.

JSON File

The path to the JSON file for this MegaScan Object.

Editor Mesh

A Drop Down with all the available level of detail meshes for this object. The one selected will be used in the editors 3D View.

Editor Material Resolution

A Drop Down with all the available material resolutoins for this object. The one selected will be used in the editors 3D View.

Render Mesh

A Drop Down with all the available level of detail meshes for this object. The one selected will be used during rendering.

Render Material Resolution

A Drop Down with all the available material resolutoins for this object. The one selected will be used during rendering.
